95 British pounds
The Retreat Farm, Bassetts Lane, Little Baddow

Class Info

This lovely retreat day will be some essential time for you to rest, move your body and recharge. We will begin with a welcome cuppa, a home made snack and a meditation. Following this, Jilly will run a Gua Sha workshop. We will have a light, vegetarian lunch and spend the afternoon practicing Yin yoga followed by a relaxing Gong bath. Homemade cake and tea to close our time together. The venue is set in beautiful and peaceful countryside in Little Baddow. It is suitable for those with experience wishing to deepen their practice and complete newcomers. (You will need to be able to get up and down from the floor). GONG BATH & YIN A Gong Bath is a form of sound healing meditation. Everyone is immersed in the vibrations of the gongs and instruments during a session (you are bathed in sound). No experience is required, it is a form of meditation accessible to everyone. Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice. It works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits. Your facial muscles perform hundreds of tiny movements all day everyday to read, communicate and express yourself, and they get tired. As a result your face can feel like it’s drawn forward, in a constant frown of concentration. My workshop will include demonstrating cleanse, scrub, mask, serum and moisturiser alongside the Gua Sha sequence. (We might even get time to free up a bit of the neck). So come along without your make up and enjoy a couple of hours of self care.
